The inner part of the mosque was stimulated from Surah Al-Baqarah(Ayah 22: Holy Quran). The interior of this beautiful mosque consists of ceiling and wall that is adorned with paintings of a beautiful light blue sky. The trees and clouds while the carpets (the praying mats) give splendid look. There is a waterfall wallpaper along with minbar (the place where imam sits to lead the prayer).

History of Praiseworthy Model:

This masjid was initially built in 1910’s under the Ottoman Caliphate in the Yenice neighbourhood of Kırşehir and was named after the great Caliph of Muslims, Amir al-Mu’minin Sultan Abdülhamid II Khan; but as the decades went by, the masjid was neglected and dwindled into a state of disrepair. As such, it was recently demolished and replaced by the newly built Hamidiye Camii on the same site.

An Azerbaijani architect drawn and painted this masjid. In my opinion, Great school of thoughts has been used to build a mosque like this.

Sefa Ekinci (Imam of mosque) found that the Ayah (verse) 22 from Surah (chapter) al-Baqarah from the Holy Quran inspired the people involved in the project, which reads:

“(Allah) Who has made the earth a resting place for you, and the sky as a canopy, and sent down water (rain) from the sky and brought forth therewith fruits as a provision for you. Then do not set up rivals unto Allah (in worship) while you know (that He Alone has the right to be worshipped).”

Sefa Ekinc has retired and Yılmaz Akçakaya is the former imam of this mosque. The community of Azerbaijani architects put great effort in building this marvelous mosque.

Whenever you visit turkey in future, make sure to pay a visit to this beautiful mosque.  SubhanAllah!
